At the heart of the Jawahar Foundation is a simple yet profound belief: that progress is only real when it reaches the most vulnerable. We are dedicated to the holistic welfare of the communities where we operate, designing programs that go beyond providing temporary aid to foster long-term resilience. Through inclusive growth and development, we aim to be the catalyst for a society where every individual, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to lead a life of dignity, health, and hope.
Water ConservationRajasthan is India’s largest state with nearly 11 % of the country’s land but access to only two per cent of the national water. Jawahar Foundation focuses on providing safe and hygienic drinking water to the people residing in their areas of operation. Our team has installed water coolers in different parts of the districts while also installing clean drinking water stations for the public. In our water conservation project, Jawahar Foundation makes it a mission to revive the local water bodies. On the same lines, we filled Pushkar lake with 38 lakh litres of water.
Food SecurityJawahar Foundation is working to resolve the problem of food security for the people in our operating areas.
To eradicate hunger, Jawahar Foundation started a community kitchen by the name Swabhiman Bhoj which serves nutritious & clean meals at ₹ 1 to all. Currently operating in Ajmer, Banswara, Bhilwara & Jaipur, we have served over 33,00,000+ meals in the span of just a few years. This community kitchen is a continuous activity and soon will be operational in other cities.
Health and SanitizationJawahar Foundation is dedicated to providing healthcare for all. During the pandemic, we supported the local medical authorities in Ajmer & Bhilwara to quickly set up multi bed Covid Care Wards & installed Oxygen Distribution Pipelines at the major hospitals. We also provided the local healthcare centres at Pushkar and Gulabpura with Oxygen Generators of 45 Lpm each.
Our teams have also spread awareness about safety from the Corona Virus and distributed more than 100,000 masks and 14,000 sanitizers. We also provided Sanitizer Sprinkler Machines to help in the sanitization of areas, where the large sanitization trucks could not reach. We even went on to sanitise the Brahma temple in Pushkar.
EducationRajasthan has one of the lowest literacy rates in the country at 67.1% and has one of the lowest female literacy rates of 52%. Jawahar Foundation aims to bridge the gap in education opportunities by focusing on transforming the education landscape.
We set up Computer Literacy Centres at Ajmer for providing education and trying to alter the outlook of education in Rajasthan. With more than 22,000 students certified by the program, the project has been a resounding success.
Employment GenerationWe will bring an industrial revolution and generate jobs in Ajmer and Bhilwara so that people earn their living in their city itself.
We are working in building and setting up skill development centres to upskill the people of Ajmer and Bhilwara. At these centres people are skilled in the areas of computer literacy, vocational skills and basic education. The emphasis is on the skill development for women to make them independent and stand in the society.
The aim of Jawahar foundation is to set up industries and promote entrepreneurship through skill learning centers, to generate employment.
